What’s it for?
- Relief of and/or prevention of cravings and nicotine withdrawal symptoms associated with tobacco dependence. To aid smokers wishing to quit or reduce prior to quitting.
- To assist smokers who are unwilling or unable to smoke, and as a safer alternative to smoking for smokers and those around them.
- Can be used in pregnant and lactating women making a quit attempt. Should preferably be used in conjunction with a behavioural support programme.
How to Use
- Adults and adolescents (12-18 years): for those smoking 20 plus cigarettes per day, initially 1 TTS30 (step 1) patch daily.
- Less that 20 cigarettes per day: initially 1 TTS20 (step 2) patch daily. Reduce patch size at intervals of 3-4 weeks. Maximum treatment period 3 months.
- Medical advice should be sought for use in adolescents beyond 12 weeks.
- TTS 30sq cm/average absorption 21mg/24 hours. TTS20sq cm/average absorption 14mg/24 hours. TTS10sq cm/average absorption 7mg/24 hours.
Warnings & Cautions
- Do not take more than the recommended dosage medicine than the label tells you to
- If you are pregnant, speak to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before use
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in the enclosed leaflet
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
- Consult a healthcare professional if you have serious liver or kidney disease, uncontrolled overactive thyroid gland or phaeochromocytoma
- If you get a persistent skin reaction, remove the patch and tell your doctor

Transdermal Patches of 10cm2 containing 17.5mg Nicotine, Average absorption rate 7mg Nicotine in 24 hours, Also contain Acrylate Esters Vinylacetate Copolymers, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Methacrylic Acid Esters Copolymers, Aluminised and Siliconised Polyester Films.
